Each person is limited to 100 pounds of total supplies each. This includes luggage, fishing gear and food/beverage. Overweight charges may apply if you are in excess of these limits.

How to pack for float plane travel:

Pack food and camp gear in medium sized cardboard boxes. Using all large totes makes it hard for us to fit them in the aircraft. Soft items, such as clothes and sleeping bags, should be packed in duffels, as they fit easily among the boxes.

Personal medications should always stay with the people who need them. Do not leave them behind.

If you are concerned about all the gear fitting on the plane with you, please pack so that items can be left behind and flown up later. Any gear that is overweight or won't fit on the plane could arrive later that same day or the next day. Any food, beverages or gear that won't fit with you on the plane will be separated and weighed.

Separate any food and beverage not needed in the first day or two from your personal gear that must travel with you on the plane. Overweight costs are based not on pounds, but on plane loads.

Packing fishing rods with the hooks off and in rod covers is the best method. Large rod tubes may obstruct you while seated in the aircraft. Keep in mind that Yeti type coolers are very heavy and are most likely to put you into an overload situation.
